Why won't <hr/> tag show in current theme

I am working on a site with wordpress and I have been testing out different themes. When I finally decided on a theme I noticed my <hr/> tags would not show up. I have been googling for an hour trying different variations of it, and I still cannot get it to show up. It showed up fine in other themes, but not this one. Anybody have any idea why? Thanks for any help.

Thanks, I tired it last night and still couldn't figure it out, but I emailed the developer this morning and apparently the style.css needed to be tweaked for the hr tag to show up.
