Why is no one building an opt in list for their flog?

Hey guys,

So far i notice all the flogs i've come across dont collect email addresses. Is there a reason for this? I m asking cos I m intending to build an opt in in my flog itself... but since no one's doing it there must be a reason?

Rofl I'm sure those people are all biting at the chance to get scammed by you more.

Don't take this the wrong way but... if you're planning on tricking someone to buy something by using a "flog" (i.e. a bullshit recommendation of a product that won't produce the results promised) what makes you think they'll trust you the 2nd time around when you make another recommendation to your list?

Flogs don't collect optins because they're one-shot deals meant to scam people out of money. You can't build a business with a flog... just a promotion.

well actually...

Actually buyers are buyers. They did it once you can believe they will 5 more times. You are a fucking idiot if you think that data isnt worth anything...affiliates pass me that info and make $2-6 more per a cpa by capturing everyones info that passes through their ads

So basically you're saying that you sell these people again - NOT as the original con-artist who sold them on the front-end - but as a new con-artist on the backend?

Why the fuck would anyone pass on good leads to anyone for $2-$6 instead of making possibly 10-20x more themselves. Because they're worthless to them at that point, that's why...

Think before responding you little douche bag.

There are two main answers to that question:

1. Maybe they don't do it because it doesn't work well

2. They are fucking lazy and just copied the lander to begin with and it makes money so they figure good enough.

There is also a 3rd reason for some of us. Risk management. Getting opt ins almost always decreased immediate ROI in exchange for the potential of better ROI after 6 months. Key word being "potential", many people don't want to risk cutting out any money up front to build a list that "may" make them more in the end. Combine this reason with laziness and you have the reason most flogs don't collect opt ins.

I used to let users email me, but i quickly found replying to them was worse than ewhoring. It was worth it though...

Ding, ding, ding!

One potential problem with this (if I understood correctly) is you'd be pulling them in different directions. Should they click through to the offer, or sign up and listen to you for more advice?

I think the copycat theory is the best. The first guy that made the flog didn't capture emails, so everyone else that copied it didn't either. When affiliates steal the magic formula, they rarely think to improve upon it.
