I've submitted to the big 3, and am showing in Yahoo, and MSN, and a PR 4 & 6 directory. When I search on my .com name in Google, the PR4 & 6 listings show up, but not my actual site.

I can see that "something" from Google came to my site, actually it stop by fairly often. Here's what one of my log shows....

66.249.72.51 - - [06/Sep/2006:14:06:19 -0700] "GET /robots.txt HTTP/1.1" 404 - "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)"
66.249.72.51 - - [06/Sep/2006:14:06:19 -0700] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 1233 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)"

And that's it, I dont see it grabbing any pages, and like I said, it's still not showing in their listings.

I run adsense also on this site, if that makes any difference.

Whats going on?

Thanks.
S.

It is hard for us to help you if we cant look at the site. Perhaps it is the coding that is causing google bots not to crawl your site. BUt there are many things that could affect this.

is your domain blacklisted? does your robot.txt block google? have you tried submitting a sitemap to google?

Darn, sorry about that, here's the site. Remember, I'm new to all of this.. :)

I can see that the domain was registered previously, but I have no idea how to tell if it was blacklisted.

Thanks for any help.

Looks like the domain was just parked previously, so I doubt you have been banned in Google. When was the first time the Google Bot visited?

You may just need to wait a little longer. Get some more links and you'll get indexed.

I dont know the first time I was visited, but why one earth would they visit, but not index or visit the rest of the site? Sorry if these are stupid questions, but I'm confused here. I know for sure that the bot has been by at least 4 ot 5 times, showing the same results as posted above.

Thanks!

Get a list of 200 blogs in your niche.

Write to each webmaster individually asking for them to mention your site with a link.

You will be indexed within 2 weeks.

LOL, it shouldnt take all that just to get indexed, but couldnt hurt if you have the time to search collect and send out to 200 blogs that are related to your site.

Give it time;

Yeah - a single good link from a PR7 would probably do it, but most PR 7 sites won't link to a new blog for free.

But if 20 or 30 smaller blogs did, it would have a very positive effect (and it would be free too).
