A friend of mine had a bad experience with Hostgator, and I've heard both good and bad things about Bluehost, Dreamhost, Lunarpages etc. Someone recommended Total Choice Hosting to me recently.

Which host do wf most recommend?

I'm trying to figure out who to go with for my first Wordpress site. Obviously I want something economical and reliable, and my needs aren't big at the moment.

I use softlayer for my main clients, and hostgator for my niche sites.

Never had a problem with any of them.

bluehost.com or ipower both are best.I have seen and heard good reviews about blue host.Ipower.com is also best because i am with them from 4-5 years .never had any type of problems

I've tried a couple overseas that were cheap but it was terribly slow. 6+ years ago I switched to bluehost and haven't looked back. It's fast, cheap, and they have tons of 1-click-to-install frameworks for CMS, FAQ, Wikis, msgboards, etc etc etc

Also it's dirt cheap to register domains through them.

Best quality and service - hands down it's Rackspace - but they ain't cheap.

An excellent budget hosting is Inmotionhosting
