Which fuckface registered "first" as a trademark?

I'm so fucking pissed off. I can't use the word first in any adwords ads now. Because its a trademark.

I was gonna say free delivery on your first order, but no, google tells me to fuck off because first is now a trademark.

FUCK! I have the greedy corporate world :)
 


Surely you could ask Google Editors to make an exception?

First could be disallowed in the sentence "Buy First products here" but surely not in the sentence "First come, First served"

Maybe Google doesn't like you. I just tried it out and I have no problem using "First" in the ad text.
 
coul you try using a symbol maybe?

...i remember when I put out google ads for a poker site I created, I couldnt use the word "poker" because it was against their TOS, something to do about them not being able to promote gambling.

So what i did was, I went into the Character Map

Start > programs > accessories > system tools > character map

and replaced the "o" in poker to a symbol in character map that looked very similar to "o" , first glance you wouldnt be able to tell it was even a symbol.

I know google doesnt allow symbols, but i had my ad running for a lil more than 2 weeks and never got flagged.

I had a similar problem. The idiot editors disallowed the words "one account", which probably is a trademark, but not in the context I was using it.

I gave them a call and they approved the ads right away.
 
Yeah, one of my adword ads said "Check us out first." and google wouldn't allow it because "first" was a trademark. I couldn't believe it. How can someone get a trademark for such a commonly used word? Fucking nazi douchebags.

SWEET thanks for giving me a multi-zillion dollar idea.

I'm going out to put a trademark on the words "and", "I", "You", "A", "U", "Are", and "To", I might even include "There", "Their", and "They're"

Now try typing a sentence without using any of those words without paying me a royalty first.

hahaha fuck at this rate my name is soon to be trademarked and every time I write it I'll be liable to pay some greedy corporate entity some money.
