Ok, so I am brand new at this, and I do mean brand freaking new, so I have no clue where to start other than the fact that I have signed up with a couple places like Clickbank. Now, where do I blog? I already have an e-commerce site, but obviously I won't be using that for affiliate stuff other than Adsense. I can build a site, just don't know where the hell to start when it comes to this affiliate stuff. I plan to dedicate a site to health related products, but again, where to start?

Now, if someone can help me without being a smartass or send me to that retarded dick roll link that I just stumbled upon, that would be great!

Free blogs at wordpress.org and blogspot.com are popular.

You can also setup your own blogs on your own domains easily with many paid for hosting companies like Hostgator, GoDaddy, etc.

Ok, what I have thought about doing is making a splash page that is ENTIRELY seperate from my webstore.....people won't even have any idea that it's actaully an e-commerce site when they land on my page. (Well, they WILL see the domain name in their browser, but alot of people won't make the connection that it's an e-commerce site) I already pay for the website hosting, so I thought maybe I could give this a shot as a starting point while I do more research on how to make affiliate money using blog sites. (Or something that's a little more targeted at what I'm attempting to do)

If you want a neat blog use wordpress. If a very easy to use and not complicated blog use blogspot. :evil_laughter:

I would only do that if what your blogging about relates in some way to your store. It would also help your seo for your store.
If you plan on starting a blog for something different I would recommend getting a new domain and hosting as it costs very little. Check out zensix in the buy/sell section. Very reasonable and you can host unlimited domains.

Wordpress is very user friendly.Welcome and I clicked on to that same link. This site has some very good resources but a lot of BS on it. Good luck to you

Forget the splash page. That's only a loss of time for your visitors and won't help you a sh*t in your rankings. Splash pages are just useful if you need a language or region selection page.

Ok, lol....maybe the splash page is a bad idea. That's why I'm here, to get some feedback. I'm seriously such a total noob. I have been reading my brains out tho about blogging and visiting various blog sites.
