When To Upgrade Hosting Account?

I have P202 installed on a shared hosting account for which I pay less than $10 per month.

I regularly have days where I'm doing 5k to 10k clicks per day and am having no problems so far. My hosting account stats say that I'm using only 1% of my available bandwidth (I'm using just over 1 gig per month).

I'm nervous that something might break eventually because of my cheap shared hosting account, so called my hosting company to make sure everything is going to be ok if I increase my traffic significantly from here... they said I'm fine and they'll contact me if I'm ever getting close to any limits.

Should I be worried? Is there any reason to upgrade to a dedicated server? When?

BTW I'm direct linking only - I don't use my own LPs.

If you're doing 10k clicks a day you shouldn't be using shared hosting. Simple as that.

Depending on what the server he is on is like, he's using a lot less than 1 request a second if you do the math and I don't really see that to be a problem.

The problem is he's sending 10k clicks to a server that is shared with other people... He might not be using very much in terms of resources, but what about the other guy? The second someone else causes the server to crash he's out money, right? And there's a good chance he would complain about it here.

I've seen far too many people bitch about "losing hundreds of dollars" when the shared server they were on had problems. Moral of the story? If you make good money from your sites (which I'm assuming he does with 10k clicks a day), don't be a cheap ass.
