If I'm contacting a site owner with questions about buying ad space on the site, what should my title be? I don't want to say affiliate marketer, that sounds lame and unprofessional. However, I'm also not part of a company, so I can't say I'm a representative for Xyz LLC.

My email starts with "Hello, my name is John Doe and I'm a TITLE interested in purchasing ad space on your website, xyz.com."

Any ideas? Thanks.

Media buyer, or Media buyer for xxxx.com (or company name). You should have a legit front end site set up if you're going this route.

If contacting large sites, then you're a media buyer. If contacting small sites:

'Hi there, my name's X, and I was just browsing your website, and was wondering something. How much would you need per month to be convinced to swap out your adsense blocks for my own ads?

Let me know.
X.'

With small sites, it's probably better to appear small, if you call yourself a media buyer, they'll think you have deep pockets and start asking the world.
