I've been using cold emailing since last few months to try to get some SEO clients, but I'm not having any success.

I'm personalizing my email for each prospect (by adding their name, business name, industry, website url etc). I'm getting around 35-40% open-rate for my emails.

I'm targeting laser eye surgeons from different locations. While choosing a prospect, I check if they have low traffic, less backlinks, bad/average quality website design and things like that.

What am I not doing right?

Do you guys have any suggestions? How do you get your clients?

You're 10 years too late.

Actually, according to Glen (from ViperChill.com), I'm not. He and his students use this method to generate thousands of dollars every month. I got this cold emailing idea from Glen himself. That's why I'm wondering why I'm not getting results.

You can't think for yourself? You've got to get some supposed guru to do the thinking for you?

There is nothing wrong with having a mentor. And Glen Allsopp is not some "supposed guru". Supposed gurus (like those on clickbank) are those who sell "make money online" products to make money online (without actually implementing what they teach in their ebooks and courses).

Glen has been consistently helping other marketers and many of his students are very successful in selling digital marketing services. That is the only reason I follow his advice. I never follow anyone who makes money online by teaching others how to make money online.

"Cold emailing" LoL... seriously. Quit being a douchebag spammer and come up with a real business model.

If you believe that cold emailing means being a douchebag spammer, then I suppose all those dozens of HubSpot blog posts written by sales professionals are a complete piece of garbage. :D Just saying.

Try buying [BusinessName]Sucks.com and then cold emailing them offering to give them the domain in exchange for them buying your SEO services lolol

apparently not so "consistently". does that ring any warning bells for you?

Maybe use personalization like getting more clients for doctors offering to make eye lids glitter looking which will mainly attract women with easy to achieve the conversion for SEO clients.
