What's a realistic conversion rate for an email submit (no scrubs)?

I'm putting together an email submit campaign for someone at the moment (as a consultant for an advertiser - this isn't an affiliate thing. Meaning none of the usual BS that comes with email submits)

It's basically a "win an Ipad and get up 80% of your purchases of product X" campaign.

I'm driving traffic from Google Adwords search direct to the LP, and they are getting 10% conversion, which I think is too low.

My thoughts are it should be at least 20% click -> signup with the right lander.... is that realistic based on your experience?

So as long as the incentive is enticing and you have a good lander, it should be at least 20%. If it's your path or whatever, what's more important is how far they go into the path...

With no scrub? 10% is way loo low.

Which apple product are you advertising? An iPod lander would have shit conversions whereas a back to school Macbook lander would do much better.

For something like you described, 10% is a bit low. 15-20% would be in the range that you should be around, and anything else above that would really just depend on the quality of the lander.
