What's a good Facebook CTR?

Put a pic of a hot chick and what looks like a FB profile and you'll get a CTR of like 35%. LOL. Otherwise your CTR is gonna suck. The FB zombies don't like to click on anything that might take them away from their sheltered little sandbox.

Way to totally mislead a newbie.

You want to aim for 0.08% CTR at least.

Once you hit that you can start thinking about CPM..and even that is heavily based on what bid vs payout.

Do the math.

LOL. Well I should say that SOME of them are like that. It depends on who you're targeting. If you've got an ad about cell phones, target the young people. They'll click for something like that and you'll probably get a fairly high CTR. Target older people and the CTR will obviously be lower, but conversions will probably be higher.

But it has to be damned good to get a lot of these FB zombies to click away from their paradise. Like with a new phone, they'll think "oh, I can access my FB account even easier now when I'm on the road!" Putting an ad on there for a local upholstery business for example would probably do terribly unless you targeted the really old people. A good CTR depends on what you're trying to promote. If you're promoting free sex, obviously the CTR is going to be sky high. If you're selling Crest toothbrushes, the CTR is likely going to be bottom of the barrel low.

So in answer to your question, a good CTR depends on what you're promoting and how good your ad is.

Really? I've currently got a CPC ad that's converting at 0.1%, paying £0.15 per click. The CPM cost though, is saying around 50p per thousand, and the CTR seems to massively drop when I run it CPM. :S
