A site of mine recently climbed out of the sandbox and I'm kind of baffled by the low earnings I'm getting with it. I'm just going to out it because I need some help. I've been doing well with EPN but I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket, especially since they're known to cancel accounts once in a while, so I'm trying to do better with my sites that are straight affiliate offers.

I assumed the whole price comparison layout would get more than a couple sales a month. Traffic right now is a paltry 50 hits a day, but even over a month a 1% conversion should bring at least 10-15 sales.

One of my biggest weaknesses is traffic conversion, I haven't studied much of it which is one of the reason I need to start practicing PPC. I'm trying to get around to it but I've just been strapped for time lately.

What should I do to improve conversion on the site, any suggestions?

And here's the homepage.

i think u lack the selling bit. likeee happy-face-girl and wanna-look-like-supermodel question. Make an ad for that and place on top instead of adcents if you want to protects the "integrity" of your comparisonpage. also i dont like the lightblue links with the rest of ur colors, neither on grey area or in text. also important text should be larger. important text is what drags someone in to read and whatever you feel u need to emphasize for the comparison bit.

Never use Adsense on an LP. You're losing potential sales. Plus, you have way to much going on to distract visitors. It took me too long to find your damn affiliate links, and I was looking for them. You have too many links pointing to other pointless articles on your site that nobody gives a shit about. Do you think your visitors want to become world renowned Obagi experts, or do they just want to buy some?

Hey I was reviewing your site.

I would make a opt-in form on the top right side and give a away a free report on your anti aging products. Build a list of targeted people as well, to market them other products.

Down the middle you have to many "options", you want to make it direct to the point.

Also maybe a small before/after tale would help create a personal touch with your visitors.

I would also get rid of all the links on the right hand side so people are not losing focus on the overall objective.

One thing people tend to do, since we read from left to right, they are more likely to click on the ads on the right side of the blog. Thats why I mentioned putting a "special report" opt-in box on the top right to immediately grap their attention.

You can also give your reviews, information, coupes in a series of emails or in your special report.

Just my2cents.

Goodluck!

Good stuff, Matias. I like the optin idea.

I'll definitely get rid of the useless stuff on the right sidebar.

I'm also going to take off a bunch of the information that just takes people away from the objective.

Making a long todo list for this site...

I think its to cluttered on the main page.
You have a guide
You have a review
You have Price
You have coupons

Its to much

Yeah dude!

Way too much going on in that page.

Make a dedicated page on your site for EACH PRODUCT you are promoting, don't jumble them all in. Each page should have one call to action.

Don't give them options of where to buy the product. That is a good model when you're getting paid per click but horrible when you are working on affiliate sales.

But yeah, only one action per page or else its just too confusing.

Good luck bro

You guys are the shit.

Alright I will copy the articles and then create individual product pages.

Now that you mention it all of those price comparison sites are operating on per click models, aren't they? I will just have to find the best merchant and promote their links. I'm thinking SkincareRx, they pay 20%.

Its funny how my perspective of this site changes after I hear everyones opinion. Before I didn't have a clue what to change. Now I can see that there's a lot of work to do. Glad I decided to ask.
