What to do with emails?

Newbie question alert.....plz dont flame
i have been gathering a nice email list(s) but not really sure what to do with them. I have only been dabbling with CPA and Google adsense for money....never really started list building until 6 months ago. ....

any help/ideas?

Are they CANSPAM compliant? What did the users expect to receive when they signed up?

Just tie in affiliate offers related to the niche in the emails you send them.
