Want to start marketing some products but don't want to join a network that will scam me out of my money. Is epicenter any good, or are there other ones that I should try to join? Thanks.

Before you select a network, you need to figure out the best type of network that suits your requirements. By "some products", do you mean you will have a range of products where people will browse through your store, select one or more products, then check-out and then you'd wind up paying the affiliate a percentage of the sale.? If so, then you might want to consider a network that specializes in that type of business. Two that come to mind are Commission Junction and ShareASale. They specialize in product sales programs. They are very hands-on in the sense that you deal directly with the affiliates who run your program.

If you have individual products that stand on their own and you'll be paying a flat rate per-sale, plus, you don't want to deal with affiliates directly, then you'd want to look for a CPA network. Some reputable ones have already been listed in this thread.

So, first find out the kind of program you want, then decide on the network.

You would be in good hands with Smaxor or MaxSteve. They both run excellent networks. In the beginning stick to companies who care. Both A4D and MaxBounty are in there. CJ isn't.

A4D and Advaliant =)

It takes ages for me to get my Advaliant application reviewed/approved. Well not really ages but it's been more than two months. They even blocked my phone number so I am not able to talk to them on the phone. Sent many emails to about 5 recipients, no reply.
