Being new to PPC, what types of offers should I try to stay away from and which should I attempt? I'm obviously going to stay away from the $30+ payouts because those would have a shit ton of competitors. But is it even worth going after the saturated markets, like dating, weight loss, etc? Also, do you think it's better to try and get lucky with the medium payout offers ($10-20) or should I try to get my feet wet with the lowend offers ($10 and below)?

Christmas is coming up. Push some hot toys or electronics gear.

<warm fuzzy nostalgia memories = ON>
Remember when the wii came out? PPC to Ebay site selling Wiis, no brainer
<warm fuzzy nostalgia memories = OFF>

Figure out what's hot for Christmas, register a domain, find an merchant to supply it for you, and away you go.

It's a level playing field right now.

You can always use the common noob formula of using an email submit and hitting cheap long tails or the content network. That is how I started. A dancing with the stars survey was my campaign. People love reality TV polls and there are tons out there, so maybe give that a shot.

Whatever you do, I strongly suggest you to give 'List building' a thought. You can sell products to them for a long time.

how about this bag of crap?

The best niche for noob's is. There are just so many ways to capitalize in this niche, it's not even funny. Facebook, Google, MySpace... it doesn't matter. The bar of entry is low, and everything can easily be done direct linking with a simple adcopy.

I hope this helps, PM me if you have any additional questions.

Try sticking with lower payout offers at first, they are generally easier to convert and cheaper to test.
