What is TLD ? Is dot tk domain is a TLD?

I found that many buyer wants TLD.I do not know about it.I have a free domain in dot tk.Can i work with this free domain?
 


It's not advisable to work with free domains.. for many reasons but primarily because it looks REALLY unprofessional.

TLD stands for 'Top Level Domain', and these are loosely translated into the .coms, .nets, .orgs of the internet (among many others).
 
There is many talks on TLDs, but from my experience there is not really a difference. If you making quality and legit site that useful to the visitors you don't have to worry about extension to much. If you will push it hardly to get ranked with SEO methods it may not be a best choice, but still it may be considered not trusted only on the beginning, if you getting good traffic from other places than SEs you good. It will rank latter if you getting good backlinks.
 
The reason why some of the countries that are pretty much 'risk free' are also due to the restriction that are in place, or were in place up until recently. Requiring a local company and only being able to register your company name certainly wouldn't breed a hotbed of activity for those doing evil, unlike domains such as .tk and .ru which are free/low cost and unrestricted.
