quick question. i would like to have a frame kind of like the one shown below to keep customers connected to my page when they are redirected, i would just like to know how or what this is called so i can research how to do it.

I think they existed even before then... not sure. (I remember them rather well when working on Internet Exploder and Nutscrape back in the day)

Heh, yeah, like 1996. They aren't recommended for a number of reasons, which I'm sure you will discover in your research.
