What factors impact the AVG CPC on FB?

My average CPC was originally .21 cents and my CTR was .110% now my CTR is .140+% and my CPC has been gradually rising for the past week and a half. It's now up to .33 cents obviously at this rate I won't be profiting for much longer does anyone have any idea how I can get my avg CPC down? BTW the suggested bid is 31-50 cents and my bid has been at .51 and has never been changed.

1 thing I forgot to mention is that my daily budget has been gradually increased from $250 to $750 in the past week and a half. Would my daily budget rising have anything to do with the CPC going up?

I don't think so, it is probably something else.

Almost every FB ad that I have does the same thing you are explaining. Over time the CPC seems to creep up.

If it is a small demo, usually the reason is that everyone in the demo has already seen your ad and therefore CTR drops.

Are you sure your CTR isn't slowly dropping?

My CTR is steadily higher than it was when the avg CPC was .21 cents the demo is 3,000,000 people which is relatively small for FB but still big enough to last more than a week and a half I'd think

WOW! CPC just moved up to .42 cents CTR is .182% that's not good.

weird. I would just try different stuff until you get the volume at the price you want.

Lower the cpc to w/e you want and see if you still get any volume.

Recreate the same exact ad and see how it performs.

I've already tried recreating the same exact ad at different bids but they weren't getting any volume but that might be because I continued to run the lower bid duplicates simultaneously with the high bid variation. I just went ahead and lowered my bid to .31, I'm going to wait it out for a whole day if I have to and see if I get any volume

Jeez, .182 CTR and a 42 cent CPC? Strange stuff...

What's the suggested bid at for that identical demographic if you go to the create ad tool?

What was it originally when you created the campaign?

If you remove any keyword targeting or interest targeting but keep everything else the same what's the suggested bid?

Are you bidding CPC or CPM?

The suggested bid for the identical demographic is 1.05 - 1.73 USD I'm not sure what it was originally. But when I remove all the targetting the suggested bid is 1.00 - 1.59 USD

I am paying .05 for each click, it should be free clicks but there must be so much competition in that demo I think. Just keep optimizing your CTR or CVR until you hit profitability. And this offer is US targeted if you want to know.

higher CTR usually gives you lower CPC but if there is more competitors bidding higher than you, the CPCs will keep rising untill those newbies walk out of your way.

my CPC on one campaign went from 0.07 to 0.40 within 2 weeks and then settled around 0.15. CTRs been very consistent at around 0.25% to 0.40%

Drop your bid down to 37c and then just wait. As others have mentioned, it may be due to competition, so you'll have to wait it out. If you're going to go any lower with your ad and force a lower CPC, you'll start killing your CTR quickly and that 33c CPC will be 45c soon enough.

CTR is the main variable that controls CPC. I would do what Mr. Grunin said. If that doesn't work, just try re-creating the ads and go from there.

Because the noobs are overbidding on that demographic. Hang tight and they should be out of the game soon. It happens to me all the time.
