Feedback please. We are just testing some different ad formats and placements out. Nothing is permanent so far.

I don't see any ads right now either. However, I did see some of those classic flashy banners earlier, which I did not like - imo, they look unprofessional. Plus, I can't imagine they would bring in that much revenue right now.

I was kind of expecting a 468x60 banner right aligned at the same level as the wickedfire logo at the top of the page.

You would be getting pretty massive page views for this forum I should imagine.

Hmm weird.. shows up for me.

That must be the new way to market, only showing ads to the site owner. :uhoh2: Damn I never thought of that.

Seriously no ads for me either.

Hmm, well, on the bright side...

Damn, that's awful.

Hahahaha

Yeah well, apparently it was my fault. The ad system will be tweaked tomorrow and over the weekend, so be on the lookout for them.

Advertisments, sigh. What's next? *Looks at 3dBuzz.com and is reminded there is actually a nice place on the internet*

Hey man,

You got to do, what you got to do, to pay the bills.

Bring on the ads :)

If every one thought the same way (no ads on websites) we would all be broke - especially me.

FYI - I did see an ad for Rec room stuff, i think, when I tried to log in during your brief downtime.

Ugh, a fellow forum member told me he makes $50,000. If that is true, why in gods name would he need advertisments ontop of his current revenue? I doubt he's paying off a Ferrari.

Guess what: it's his site, and he'll do what he wants.

I don't like ads, and I'd prefer to not have them on here, but it's better than some other things that could happen to a forum.

No shit, Einstein. It's just promoting greed though.

Agreed, however I don't like that attitude of "It's his site, and he'll do what he wants."

Wicked Fire is nothing without a community. I'd like to see a succesful forum with no community. However, the benefit of the doubt most likely shows that the reasoning behind this thread is because he has a semblance of respect towards the community.
