What can articles do for me??

Im just looking to know more information about articles and what they can bring to my site.

I just built a new membership site and i need to get traffic/members to it... anyone have any ideas for me??
 


Article marketing is a good way to promote your website... but it is just one promotion technique out of many. Good written articles that you submit to directories will be picked up by different e-zine owners and website owners. They publish your article on their website or in their e-zine with your "About the author" box.

That will result in direct traffic through these websites and e-zines as well as traffic directly from the article directories. These articles will also help you to increase your pagerank and therefore your search engine position.

You'll need to reach a certain mass of articles before you see real results... submitting 10 articles won't do much. Many directories rank the articles according to how many articles an author has in a certain category.

That's a broad question, trust2341. For your membership site, you can use articles to...
  • add content for your members
  • use as teaser content for potential members
  • use to get links to rank organically
  • to add new posts to a "launch" blog
  • and dozens of other things
I know that only limited help. But, again... very broad question.
 
You could try putting together some how-to articles; use sites like yahoo answers to find unanswered questions (in your area of expertise) and craft your how-to around the question.

I am surprised that not a lot of people are talking about this; I have written a detailed tutorial on how you can use this process to drive loyal visitors to your site in droves. You can read about it in my blog.....
