HI guys i am very new to affiliaite programmes and was wondering what ones would be worth using - or what companies are the best to go for.

I have a few foums which are of decent traffic size and i am trying to find a way to generate revenue to cover the hosting costs.

Any recommendations on where to go except google adsense?

Also any tips on displaying ads and how in forums?

Many thanks for any info.

Hello! Check out the major affiliate programs such as Commission Junction, Azoogle, COPEAC, Kolimbo, etc. (you can google for more) and select the one that works for you. I recommend you only sign up with one affiliate program at first - they'll have a couple of hundred promotions to choose from. Banner ads are recommended for your forums, they are available in a variety of sizes so experiment to see what works best. :)

Check out CPA affiliate networks there are many online. You can earn from them per lead for just having your visitors full out a form with just a zip code or email address needed. If you don't want to use them, then what about YPN. It's a pay per click contextual ads program just like Adsense, but this program only allows US people at the moment as it's still in beta.

ShareaSale is pretty good too, I can only speak from a merchant point of view, but the word out is that they're reliable, trustworthy and safe - for affiliates and merchants.

This really depends on your website. The best non adsense alternatives to start with are COPEAC and Maxbounty.

Copeac are really friendly and helpful - which is great if you are new. Check out the great advice their boss, Mike has given here (search MKrongel).

Yeah, the AM's at Copeac are great and always are there willing to help you out if you need help or have questions about anything.
