Seems to be a lot of people wanting to do a monthy or even a yearly meetup, and meetup202 is all there is.

If this forum did a monthly or even yearly meetup in the major cities around the country, i know i'd be down, and a lot of others would to. Getting Sponsors for the event shouldn't be that tough either.

Doing a yearly Weetup 2011- Chicago/NY/LA/Miami wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I would like to do a monthly or every other month thing, it would help to get a couple people in charge of a certain area, to get things running smoothly.

If not that, then maybe a local invite only mastermind group would do, were it's 15-20 people, and more of an excuse to party.

basically to get this to work, you would need volunteers to run the cities, and WF to back it up. if not this, then people from each city could volunteer to start a new meetup202 called Wickedfire Meetup. I'd honestly be happy to pay $10 for a pass, or i'd bring my famous store bought brownies. :)

Just an idea :)

I'd be down for something like this, especially since most of the meetups I've been too are pretty small (half the time the Maryland one is just me and bofu <3).

What smaxor is doing seems like a really good start; I'd like to see more of these type of events (maybe a bit smaller if there isn't as much demand for them) scattered throughout the year that would attract WF people.

Monthy is too often, especially since there are other conferences. There's actually a pretty active LA meetup 202 (I helped plan one of the events). If I were you I'd shoot for quarterly. I'll attend anything in the LA area.

Well since I guess this thread has partially turned into a 'post your meetup', there's a Baltimore one coming up soon.

I also go to college in Pittsburgh, so if there are any other affiliate marketers in Pittsburgh/Cleveland/Akron/Columbus (and wherever else that is nearby Pittsburgh) that want to setup a meetup hit me up.

hey atleast someone replied, I think it would be a good oppurtunity for Wickedfire, but I guess your better off just posting your city on STS to get people attracted, Wisconsin did it a few weeks ago, wonder how that went for them?
