Webair is taking part in World IPv6 Day!

On June 8, 2011, Webair is joining Google, Facebook, Yahoo! and Limelight Networks for a 24 hour "Test Flight". The goal of this Test Flight Day is to motivate organizations across the industry including internet service providers, hardware makers, operating system vendors and web companies to prepare their services for IPv6 so to ensure a successful transition as the last remaining IPv4 addresses run out.

The test will primarily consist of websites publishing AAAA records allowing IPv6 capable hosts to connect using IPv6. Although not required, ISP's are encouraged to participate in this day if not to test the functionality, but to make awareness and increase readiness to handle support issues.

Webair has already allocated a large number of IPv6 addresses to existing and new clients who wish to utilize the new Internet protocol.

We are now encouraging our customers to test and and integrate IPv6 into their applications and services by providing FREE IPv6 allocations.
Users can view our website (www.webair.com) via IPv6 by visiting http://ipv6.webair.com. Additionally, our secure control panel is also available via IPv6 at https://ipv6.cp.webair.com. Do those IPv6 links work for you? If so, you're already IPv6 enabled and should thank your ISP for being cutting edge and thinking ahead! If the links don't work then we're sorry, but your ISP does not yet support IPv6.

Webair clients can contact us directly to get IPv6 IPs allocated to your account.

Not a Webair client yet? Contact us and mention you are WF member and get 20% off any VPS, Dedicated or Cloud Server hosting plan! :)
