My name is Brad. I do web development. You could say, I make dreams happen.
I’ve done work for a number of forum members, including ANOMOANON, m0rtal, Mike, erect, boatBurner, Guerilla, berto, and many others.
My projects have ranged from full scale SaaS (Software as a Service) applications, to scrapers, to fixing server issues, to custom site modifications, and pretty much everything in between. Because of this it becomes very difficult to show you “what I have done”, mainly because so much of it is hidden or can’t be shared for legal reasons.
My last major project for a client was PricePlow - Compare Prices & Save on Nutritional Supplements, a site owned by a WF member, berto. The site incorporates collecting data from many sites, and comparing them all to get you the best price on a supplement. There was a ton work done over the course of more than a year.
After I wrapped up work on Priceplow, I spent the next few months taking some time off and focused on a personal project that I had in the works for more than a year. I wanted to create something that I was restricted to sharing or talking about with clients. I wanted to refine my creation process not just for myself, but to also to provide more value to my clients. It’s obvious to me that if I can create create a higher quality product, in less time, that it’s a win on both sides. The end result is www.chedme.com, an invoicing website. It’s in beta but should give you some kind of understanding of what I can produce.
This brings us to today. I’m not going to lie, it’s been a slow start to year, and I’m looking to ramp up some client work. As a promotion, and I’ve never once done this before, I am offering a flat discounted hourly rate regardless of project size. This is a WF exclusive. In the past in order to get this rate, you had to bring a lot of work my way, and I do mean a lot of work. I have always offered discounts based on volume. I am confident, for someone with my skills, this rate is well below market. This offer is valid on work that is booked during the life of this thread, which is 10 days. BTW I’m purposely not putting it in this thread because it’s stupid low - contact me.
I would love to talk to you about your dreams. I am a full service shop. Lets make your dreams happen!
FAQ
1. What are your skills?
PHP, Python, Javascript, server administration. I’m pretty sure if it encompases those things, I can handle it.
2. What are your weaknesses?
3. Do you do fixed price work?
The simple answer is no. The long answer is because of the complexity of the business it is often times not practical. I could possibly consider it if you have exact specs and plans, but chances are you don’t.
4. If I were to contact you, what should I have ready?
The following pertains more to building bigger web applications, for smallers stuff you wont need detailed plans.
However, if you’ve been in this business for any amount of time the one constant is clients don’t usually “know” what they want. This is OK, I’m here to help! I understand you do not understand the business as well as I do.
That being said it is simply not enough to shoot me a message and vaguely say “How much to build X?”
Put it this way. Say you want to build a house. You go to a house builder and say, I want you to build me a two story ranch. He replies, “That’s swell, I can do that. How should the kitchen be laid out?”
It’s OK to not have plans, I can create them for you. However it’s food for thought before you begin the process. Web applications can be very complex, and time is money. You wouldn’t simply let a house builder start building a house with no blueprint would you?
The largest design brief I have recieved was 50+ pages. Might be overkill, but at least you gave it some thought and we can have an intelligent conversation over it.
5. How do I pay you?
I generally prefer an echeck, because it costs me basically nothing to take. However I’m open to other ways, but it may cost you a little more.
Depending on the size of the project, there is likely to be a deposit that will need to be made upfront, and then a final payment before the code is released. If a project is really big, we will probably work out weekly payments or something to that effect.
6. Have any testimonials?
One of my previous threads have a few. I can also put you in contact of references if required.

FAQ
1. What are your skills?
PHP, Python, Javascript, server administration. I’m pretty sure if it encompases those things, I can handle it.
- PHP - I’ve done a lot of PHP work. I’m most familiar with the CodeIgniter framework. However I’ve done all kinds of work including Wordpress.
- Python - My drug of choice. Have really focused on it in the last year, love the Flask framework.
- Javascript - Well versed in both jQuery and AngularJS. Although I haven’t used node.js, I have a strong javascript foundation and it probably wouldn’t be an issue.
- Server Admin - pretty handy around getting a server setup and deploying web applications.
2. What are your weaknesses?
- Design. I can hack some stuff together, but I’m no pro. Bootstrap is my friend.
- Military Presses. I think my left shoulder is jacked up.
- Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwiches.
- Mornings.
- Cat pictures.
