If anyone has come across one that can deal with multiple locations and is open source I'd be very grateful if you would pass the details along.

I've spent a few days installing apps that just don't cut it.

If it's a plugin to any CMS then not a problem. I'll try anything.

I realise it's a long shot in an affiliate marketing forum, but because of the breadth of knowledge here from some of you guys it must be worth asking the question.

Hope you can help.

Cheers

inventory systems is kind of a broad term, but if you're talking about physical inventory i believe quicken online does it.

What specifically do you want to track? Do you need support for scanning devices and remote printers, etc?

I found some on Sourceforge a while back (years) for something at my old job, but ended up having our IT dept roll one up in MS Access. If you can find anything to your liking on the open source sites then maybe see if there's some web based Filemaker Pro solution or something as it has quite a following.

Thanks for the info guys.

I'll try the suggestions above.

To answer the queries raised, it's basically so my staff can lookup where a physical product is on the shop floor when it could be in one of many rooms. I'm looking to make their lives easier (and them quicker).

@tangy - downloaded that one but yet to try it. I was put off a little by not being able to login to their demo system. I'll set it up tonight.

@bb no need for anything like scanners etc. Our stock rooms are packed to the gunnels and it's hard finding things without moving other stock about. Just giving them a head start knowing which room it's in would be useful. Web based because I can then check on stock when I'm away from site. It's all paper based at the moment. It works, but slowly, and I have to ring them to get any details I need. Web's the way to go.
