Yeah, the brain is pretty crazy. We are so used to a lot of things that are truly pretty nutty. We tend to think reality exists exactly how we see it...but truth be told, reality exists in a completely different state then we see.

Our eyes don't even see every color, let alone all the things that exist such as x-ray, microwaves etc. Bee's for example see the ultraviolet and see a side of the world we don't recognize.

If we could see the universe through "Gods eye", meaning through an eye that can witness everything, it would look un-recognizably and mindbogglingly different than what we see through our limited human eyes.

On top of that, we have a finite brain spending a limited amount of energy into processing this limited information received from our eyes and its easy to see how things get out of wack.
