WANTED: Wordpress gallery extension

I'm in need of a pagination extension for the built in Wordpress gallery. I have a huge image gallery on a page of my site, but I don't want all of the thumbnails to show up at once.

So if someone could add an option to set number of thumbnails to show per page, and add a "menu" for moving forward, that'd be great.

To show exactly what I mean.. It'd be like tubepress but for the wordpress image gallery:

It doesn't allow for comments on pictures, only galleries. People have written about this on the Nextgen boards for 2 years. Still hasn't been fixed afaik
