I just wanted to pose a general question about VSE's and how they may or may not play a role in the future of search..to include affiliate marketing and all the such.

I have been reading a number of articles on VSE and how they "better" cater to business and specific search. In my opinion I tink the future projection of VSE's suck. As industries in general become more integrated, career fields merge (IE Marketing and finance), companys offer diverse products and businesses diversify themselves, how can a VSE function properly.

I read about these 50 year old experts or so they call themselves who advocate this. Tell me how would KMART, WALLMART, TARGET use a VSE for building a new location. Would they have to search within each aspect of what they need for landscaping, construction, interior design, plumbing and would those VSE's display results of Multi functional contractors who may be the best overall solution?

I think VSE's are the UFORCE or Power GLove of Search they mean well sound great on paper, look great physically but in the end just won't work the way they are supposed to. Any thoughts?

A VSE is a vertical search engine. Supposedly according to many magazines and some people in the industry...they believe that they are more effective in terms of businesses searching for other businesses and/or services. IE Your searching for a car and so you go to a VSE and search within a sort of industry binded search engine. My issue with this is the thought behind diversity of products and services.
