I've got a location based domain. For this example, let's suppose it is Charleston.SC and I'm using the domain name & extension to leverage a website about Charleston, South Carolina (SC).

Suppose a popular keyword search is "Charleston SC Real Estate". What is more beneficial for your URL structure (ignore capitalization):

1) Charleston.SC/Real-Estate
2) Charleston.SC/Charleston-SC-Real-Estate

Well I'm no expert on URL Structure but I have noticed a few things when searching for Google and that is they put a lot of weight on the websites with the keyword in the URL, in my own experince I would say that #2 is the better URL based upon the amount of weight Google would put on them.

When a search is done for "Charleston SC Real Estate" Google will highlight all of those words which show up in the search and I've seen all the words in the URL highlighted before, however I don't ever remember seeing the .com or .biz or .SC highlighted before.

So to be safe Structure #2 would be a better bet, because you'll now 100% that Google will find all the words in your URL if they don't include the .com or .biz or .SC in their search results.
