Just a quick question - I had an email sunmit offer I was testing - as I optimised it I put on sub id tracking to see which keywords were converting at the back end - I then built individual adgroups around these keywords with targetted ads for each keyword. The offer was converting at 25% but has now dropped to 9% conversion !!!

SOmeone mentioned to me last week that I should use prosper202 and not network sub id tracking - as people will "steal" your successful keywords - I laughed it off at the time thinking it was some conspiracy theory - but now I'm not so sure !!

Any advice guys ??

Why a profitable campaign would suddenly change so quickly ??

If it was another type of offer i would suspect the ad network, but for email submits... i guess the conversion drop is because of advertiser's scrubbing. Split test with other similar offers or ... move on.

Split testing now - maybe scrubbing is the answer

You should never put your keywords in the sub-ID field. Even if you are dealing with an honest network, why run the risk of introducing any suspicion in the network if things tank like this for you.

If you can't, or don't want to use a third party tracking system, you should at least replace the keywords in the sub-ID tracking with some sort of ID's you setup and track manually.

Thanks steve - I'm getting prosper202 as everyone seems to rate this as a keyword tracking software - any other suggestions ?

Most likely just scrubbing by the advertiser...happens all the time with e-mail submits when leads aren't backing out.

Same thing happens a lot when I start new IQ campaigns, they'll be profitable as fuck for awhile and then slow way down to where I'm pulling ridiculously low ROI's, have no idea why.

It's always a conspiracy theory until it happens to them. Then they can't buy bullets fast enough.

You're not wrong man - but I am putting it down to scrubbing - spoke to Am on AIM today and he is looking into it :nopenope: - will see when I get proper up and running !!!
