I was checking out an offer on Hydra and came across this in terms of conditions:

Channels of promotion allowed:
Search-SEO
Search-PPC

Channels of promotion NOT allowed:
Banners
Incentives
Contextual
Text Links
Pop-ups

Sigh. Okay, so I can't put a banner or text-link in my blog but I can do "search-SEO"? So what is "search-SEO" then if not dropping links on the web to point to your web page that features the affiliate offer?

looks like you can promote on your own blog with a review, use a landing page or buy search traffic, but talk to your AM to be sure. you might be able to put a banner on your own page just not buy on other sites
 
I had the same discussion with my Hydra AM and couldn't get a straight answer - I think he was just as confused. How can you possibly have SEO traffic without having links pointing back to your site? And it must be different than contextual since that is listed as well.
