UK Hosting

At the mo, I use a mate for reseller hosting, uk server and tbh I'm fed up with the support (or lack of) (although I rarely need it), and could do with moving now. I dont really need reseller hosting, just something with unlimited add-on domains, multiple ftp accounts, 4-6GB hdd, and a reasonable deal of bandwidth.

Hoping to find something like zensix on here, but UK based.

I'm right in thinking that the geographical location of a site is important for rankings, arent I? (I need to rank for UK users).

I've looked at hosts like eukhost but tbh the messages on their own forums put me off.. is there anyone on here that runs a UK outfit?

I've always used US hosting and never had noticable trouble from it.

I use Nativespace for UK stuff but I can't recall exactly what they offer in terms of meeting your needs. I can tell you that it has been a breeze ranking sites with them as compared to US stuff. Watch out for UK hosting companies with servers that aren't actually in the UK.

It's a little pricey but the uptime has been great at pipeten. I've only dealt with support a few times but they were very quick and did a good job of following through. They do charge for extra DB's which is lame, but for one or two full-on DB sites and a bunch of flat sites they work fine.

My experience has been that ranking in UK google for .uk domains is definitely easier with a UK server, but with G ya never know.
