Insane. Record companies, the RIAA, and many performers are too damn greedy to realize that radio, terrestrial and online, is free marketing of their product. It's absolutely mind-boggling how they cannot see that their rampant greed is only going to make them shoot themselves in the foot.
 
Guess once they notice the drop-off in total revenue from sales, then they will realize what they did.

Of course, they may not, and it would not suprise many people.

Ehh, fuck it. If they take down internet radio, RIAA will be totally surprised (again) when internet MP3 downloading hits a new all time high. Fucking idiots.
 
Hopefully soma doesnt go=( but i really doubt anything will actually happen over all of this, there always seems to be some new internet legislation about to pass that people are running around throwing their arms up about...
 
Like others in this thread, I'm addicted to di.fm. So I just called my Congressman to let him know he needs to support HR2060 to PREVENT these internet radio fees.

It's not hard to do, Savenetradio.org will give you the phone number and talking points. It only take a couple minutes to do, so please help if you haven't already.
