Cool little video that gives an overview of the different types of government a society can have.

Great vid, but of course he doesn't explore a stable form of Anarchy and simply writes all anarchy off as "temporary."

I'd love for the unwashed masses to see this though, if for no other reason than to let them see that they don't live in a democracy... And the Republic they have is slipping.

Who he's using as examples of anarchists were never really anarchists. The author doesn't understand what an anarchist society is.

I don't think the author even understood that an anarchist society could exist... He seemed to be against the very thought of it.

But I love his point about the rest of society; in that there really is only Oligarchy and Republicanism... Which we all know as Tyranny and Liberty.

He even had that great point where he said governments "aren't communism on the left and facism on the right, but rather 100% government on the left and 0% government on the right..."

He was SO close... He just can't see the possibilities on the right past the republic.

I don't know if his examples of the Nazi's being anarchists at first is correct or not but I do think he's wrong that Anarchy is an unstable form of government. I think it can exist. However, I think he's trying to say that it can't be a stable form of government in a civilized society.

It works much better if you just replace the entire usage of the word Anarchy in that film with the word "Chaos." -He never considers a form of is that isn't just a big mob killing each other.

Agreed.

People have been intentionally mislead to believe that anarchy means without rules, when the actual definition is without rulers.

The true rulers who control much of mass media obviously wouldn't want to lose their position, so they've twisted the idea of anarchy into chaos, no rules, etc.

If you think about it we see the opposite, with rulers, you can't have rules. They make the rules, bribe politicians, they are politicians, and because people in power corrupt, you really don't have rules.

On the micro level, people engage in the idea of anarchy every day in their relationships and the decisions they make. But they've been conditioned into believing at the macro level, the world is turned upside down, the laws of physics don't apply anymore, 2+2=5, and humans can't exist without other humans ruling over them. You wanna talk about awesome marketers? Shit...
