Two Word Subdomains

When it comes to 2+ word subdomains.....

Do you seperate the words with a dash or just let the words run together? Does seperating them make a big difference for anything in your experience?

bluewidgets.domain.com vs blue-widgets.domain.com

I don't use hyphens, same as a regular domain

Not like you have to purchase anything. Set them both up to use the same directory for their content and track the stats of each. Or use url-rewrite. Or something.
