Tricky Tax Issue

I live in Canada. I have a site that features listings for a certain industry in a major US city. I want to start selling advertising to the local businesses there..

So I have to pay income tax in Canada, but what about sales taxes to the US as well? Or does that not apply..
 


I definitely will, I also assumed this was a common enough situation that someone might already know.
 
No you won't have to pay sales tax. And there is no way to track it really. I assume you're doing something less than a million dollar revenue a year. After that threshold they might start asking questions.
 
Advertising is a service, not subject to sales tax.
