when testing weather something works on a site, how long do you test? if it is a ppc campaign how many clicks? if it is organic search how long do you waite before you try something else? do you you have goals when going into a site? ie 5% click through? 100 visitors from search engines in x # of days? that sort of thing.

30 days seems to be fairly common suggestion in what I've read. With whatever you choose that will workout for you, documentation is everything.
