I want to totally redesign my ecommerce site with Magento. I used CRE loaded because it came with a course, but it looks hideous and unprofessional, so I'm trashing the whole thing.
However, while I'm working on it, I don't want any disturbance to my main site, so I will be installing it on a subfolder, i.e. www.mydomain.com/magento
Is it a relatively easy thing, once I have completed my Magento site, to simply delete the root files and transfer over all of the magento files from mydomain.com/magento to mydomain.com?
And an additional question - I signed up for Google Merchant Center and noticed their cool API/product feed thing. Is Magento capable of synchronizing with their Merchant Center?
