These slots usually go pretty quickly and I'm only doing MAX 3 per site!!

About PR Link Exchanges.
Bottom line, PR link trading is a waste of time. I find it funny when I read about folks swapping links and waiting with baited breathe for the next google update. They see their little green bar go up, they get all excited then realize PR doesn't actually = high rankings and that they aren't making any more money than they were before the link swap.

One good traffic link swap can bring you hundreds of extra uniques per day from my sites and extra backlinks from the buzz that new traffic creates. So you make money NOW while others are busy watching their green bar.

Build your site and promote your site for TRAFFIC not PR. The search rankings will happen naturally when people start talking about your site.

Requirements
Your site must already receive a minimum of 1,000 uniques per day. PR Doesn't matter. If your site has the traffic it can be a PR0 for all I care.

I have 3 sites I am trading on today and they all get over 1000 uniques daily.

Site #1 OnlyRiddles.com - PR6 - 2,000 uniques daily
One of my flagship content sites. I tends to do well with myspace, gaming, and other entertainment related link exchanges. Link goes in the "Partner Sites" section. (sitewide or homepage only)

Site #2 HotGameLinks.com - 1,000 uniques daily, link placed above the fold!
Unique flash gaming site. I get a lot of YPN clicks with this layout style so that means your link will too!! Link goes in the "Links" section. (sitewide only)

Site #3 HotCodeLinks.com - 1,000 uniques daily. link placed above the fold!
Nicely trafficed site that is growing as I experiment with new myspace advertising techniques, so you'd better get on board now! Your link will be placed in the right column above the Yahoo ads. (sitewide only)

NOTE: I prefer better link placement but if your site has more traffic than mine I'll take a lower down the page link in exchange for a good spot on mine.

I find it funny when people totally ignore pagerank ;)
Neglecting it completely is equally ignorant to hyping it.

I have plenty high PR sites that I "neglected" pagerank when promoting them.

I have a PR6 site that doesn't rank well for it's main competitive keyword but gets more traffic than the site in the #1 position for that keyword. That's right, I said a PR6. <-- that's called a real world example. Your turn.

So let's recap... I focused completely on traffic and ignored PageRank when promoting my sites. My site after only a few months has more PR, pages indexed, backlinks, and traffic than some guy who waited years for google to give him that #1 spot. And guess what..... eventually once my site is "old" enough for Google to give it a #1 ranking I'll have already made plenty of cash from all the traffic I get NOW, the new SE traffic will just be gravy.

Pretty ignorant huh?
 
What makes you think people who try to raise their PR aren't also trying to increase their traffic? That's one of the more illogical things I've heard lately.

Like I posted in this other thread, pagerank is the the reverse logarithmic approximation of the actual value that google assigns to the link power of your pages.
If you take in regard the side-effects of hilltop-like algorithms and spam filters you can use even the approximated toolbar pagerank to get a good idea of the link power of your pages, or your competitors pages if you research their backlinks.

So in order to determine the value of your pagerank 6 you have to research where it came from, how relevent those sites are to yours and how much link power those sites have.

It was strongly implied. You were definitely writing like it's an either or situation, but if that's not what you meant then no worries.

Good definition of pagerank... now tell me again how that makes anything I've said wrong and why it means that link trading for traffic (which will actually increase your PR too) is not smarter than just link trading for PR?

So since you didn't actually "hear" me say it but instead interpreted it that way, that kind of makes your statement the "illogical" one, no?

My whole statement clearly is that it's smarter to just link trade for traffic and that if you do that SEO will happen naturally.

By the way my traffic went up by an average of 250+ extra uniques daily and so did my revenue since my links trades these past few days. How's that google toolbar working out for you?
