Trademarked terms - google question

I need some confirmation regarding trademarked terms on Google. Is it possible to bid on a trademarked term if you direct users to a separate page? For example, if I were to bid on the trademarked term Nike….can I send users to my own page (not the Nike home page)?

Does anyone have any information (or articles)?

In US and Canada, you can bid on trademarked terms and send them wherever you want. In the rest of the world, you can't bid on trademarked terms.

every company and affiliate program has a different set of rules and restrictions regarding this topic. make sure you check those terms and conditions real careful before you get yourself in trouble.

Good point. If you're promoting an affiliate program, then you have to be aware of not only Google's rules about trademark bidding, but also what the merchant/advertiser allows.

Thanks for the information. My main concern is that I don't want to bid on trademarked terms get a good ranking and then get kicked off Google. Can anyone direct me to solid industry articles (recent) regarding trademarked issues (i'm currently debating this issue with a friend).
