Hi everyone,

This is my first post here at WF :music06:.
I'm an internet marketer for 3 years, and have been reading the forum for a while.

I'm considering buying domains like ***alternative.com where *** is a trademark.

Since the word "alternative" is a part of the domain, do you thing it could be considered as trademark infingement?

It all depends... if you use ATTalternative for example, and sell phone card, sure.. if you use IBMalternative.com and sell computers, sure. But honestly it depends on what you do with the site really. You are allowed to make fan sites, and even hate sites.. but from the "alternative" part, seems like you are capitalizing on their TM to get business elseware.

It also depends on the company. Some are notorious for taking you to court and claiming damages caused by you. Others seem to not care so much.

Its all a risk...
