so i just used legalzoom to register "xyz LLC", and after doing a search on Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS)

"xyz" appears to be a trademark. Could I still keep the LLC, but just not use the name on the products, or should I just get a new one to prevent any trouble?

In fact, what you should do is send a threatening letter to the real trademark holder, requiring them to pay you royalties, or you'll start publishing shit about them on your new site. Make sure you use your real name and address / phone for this, to ensure effective communication with these bozos.
