Tony Robbins firewalk: 21 people treated for burns

it is to push your comfort zone.

If you can't push your comfort zone, you'll keep on doing what you always have been doing; and, because of that, you'll keep on getting the same results you've always been getting.

Walking on fire is suppose to be a safe way of doing something that is uncomfortable.

Guasch and Andrew Brenner, another fire walker, both said that the keys to not getting singed are faith and concentration.
"I did it before, didn't get into the right state and got burned," Brenner said. "I knew I wasn't at my peak state. I didn't take it as serious."

....

Tony Robbins is a big fan of modelling successful behaviour, so those fire walkers should have watched this first:

Fire walking, is a proper science. Its not some spiritual shit as Tony makes it out to be but if you follow his instructions, then you are not gonna get burned.

These idiots who got probably werent confident enough, got scared and probably started running putting more pressure on the coal and burning themselves.

They paid to get their feet burned, thank GOD for the sheeple!! Time for a rebill for foot burn medicine baby!!

It's actually a pretty cool experience. Also learned how to spit fire during one of those events.

Now, I UNDERSTAND that this is all science and you shouldn't get hurt etc. etc. etc..

However, even understanding the SCIENCE behind it and all of it being 100% logical, all of that goes out of the window once YOU stand in front of one of those beds of coals. To me it was serious gut check time.

Once you do it - it is really NO big deal. It is however cool to know that you CAN do it and you have actually DONE it!

The metaphor that everyone here is missing is the REASON he does this.

You ask yourself a serious question after you've done it:

What else can I do that I previously thought was impossible?

Yes, you understand the logic behind all of the firewalking. Just as much as you understand the logic that you can build a multi million dollar business if you do xyz.

None of it counts until you can actually flip that switch in your mind that makes you BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT which then HOPEFULLY leads you to TAKE ACTION!

i dont think it has to do with the mind...more about preparing the coals properly.
they need to develop some ash, which acts as an insulator against the burning effect.

If you just saw someone do it then you're a moron if you think it's impossible to do. If you think oh it's possible for him, but not possible for me then once again you're a moron.

Walking on fire is perfectly safe if performed correctly.
You just have to keep a steady walking pace.
Shit it and lose faith, you will get burned. Simple.

Tony Robbins is a legend. He just says how it is, nothing more.
Sometimes people just get bogged down with the day to day grind and just need steering back into the right direction.

Just my 2 cents anyway. Don't give a shit if you don't agree.
