If I am hosting a blog with x-rated Adult content/merchandise...toys, naked pics, various affiliate products, and promotions... (but I'm not directly hosting or selling porn)~ do I need to worry about this Title 18, Section 2257 code :question4:

I have been throwing a few free porn codes and vids up for effect from xvideos free site, but the overall content is product, erotica bs, and affiliate networking sites, etc...

Therefore, I should be in compliance with the law, right?

That may or may not help. If you really need a serious answer, you should prolly consult a qualified barrister.

Yes, you need to be aware of the rules and regulations you will have to abide by. It's not just 2257, but HR4472 as well. Use a service like 2257safe.com and let them take care of it all. Or move to another country.

Above all though, make sure you consult with a lawyer and that any 3rd party 2257 compliance service you use is bonded and insured so you can sue the hell out of them if you fail a 2257 audit.

oh, and make sure you are a member of the Free Speech Coalition. The were able to get an injunction on 2257 for awhile, but it only applied to members in good standing.

Thanks for the info micker!

Hell, I'm new to all this and I've got some great programs/affiliates but a large chunk of them are centered around the Adult Market. I'm not sure if I want to go full-blown into building porn sites, but I found a great reference online for anyone who might take interest in such an endeavor...They'll give you a boatload of resources to get started in Adult, you can visit them here:

Adult Netsurprise - Powered by vBulletin

This is a resource link I found and gives you the Full-Breakdown of getting started in porn/adult marketing (Seems like a tough gig to me)

Peace,

Art
