No dexter, no ray donovan, no showtime sports.

Time for me to research that recent thread about tv/streaming setups and stop wasting money every month on shitty fucking cable.. I'm actually pretty embarrassed I still pay for this shit.

So my question is, is there a platform which enables channels/networks to plugin, allow people to subscribe specifically to that channel for an $X price? Something that's inclusive of all the major stations/networks like HBO, SHO, AMC, etc? I'd rather pay for maybe 3-5 stations instead of a bulk price for a ton of channels that I never watch?

If not, why the fuck?

eztv.it for all your television viewing needs.

That or TVTorrents which is what I use.

All of the shows that I watch get added to my "favorites" list on TVTorrents, then checking for new episodes is as easy as clicking "New Fav Torrents". EZTV might have a similar setup, but I haven't used it much.

I bought an over the air HD antenna for local channels, mostly used for NFL games. Everything else is on a 2TB hard drive streaming to an Apple TV 2 with XBMC installed.

So glad I dumped to fucking crooks. I get more use out of a fucking $7/mo Netflix account than I did from cable.

If not, why the fuck?

Simple, too much money involved.

The company is run by idiots. My parents threatened to cancel and move to DirecTV. They asked for better pricing. They did not budge. Fast forward 3-4 months and they were trying to lure them back. Too late, bitches! The time to save a customer is when they are on the phone. Not 3-4 months after they cancel!
