I must say that this forum really did take off. It was only like what a week ago that the site launched and bamm .. I am participating here more than I ever did in SP. I checked out some new launches like earnersforum, template looks too cheesy, didn't bother with it. Checked out tyler cruz's publisher forums, looks dead for now. So yea.. Wicked Fire is the way to go !!!!

I like the skin over at Lee's forum. I think they did a good job. Suprisingly though, WF seems to have a shitload of non-member lurkers. About 60 or so are lurking here at any given time. Getting them to join and participate is what I'd really like to do though.

Make one section members only and they'll all sign up
I don't want them signing up if they aren't going to be active in the community. Not trying to fill the forum up with useless users.

PS - we are 4 members away from 1000 :)

yeah I dont think you would want a lot of lurkers to come and just contribute enough to get into the heavy hitters area , just to gain access and then leave.

BUT, You could make it where they could gain access to the area with 25 posts a month. Then if they dont meet the quota their fuckn outta here.

I have spent time on 5 or 6 different forums, but this is the first one I have contributed to. I think the no holds barred content is what makes the site more appealing.

However, although I have contributed on here, I have a day job to do and can't spend that much time posting. I wouldn't want to think I could be kicked out of part of the site just because I didn't post as much as some others.

Most of the lurkers are people who are here only to gain information.
The only reason I started reading Jon's blog was to learn something new.
The only reason I joined this forum was to learn something new.
If it weren't for the initial 500 posts contest, I'd be nowhere near the 280 posts that I have.
