Over the past two years, I have developed a growing fascination with lawn signs. Not the ones advertising politicians or plumbers, but the ones advertising websites. Dating websites.
These signs are so prevalent in my area that I decided to launch a private investigation into who was behind them and just how far they stretched. What I found started in my small home town and led me all the way to the secret guerilla marketing infrastructure of a multimillion-dollar company…

I had been wondering about this for years.. led me to a couple 'lawn sign' tactics in my neighborhood, converted shitty but I guess it depends on the niche..

Woops,

Probably should have searched first to make sure that this wasn't a re-post, my mistake.

Anyhow, it's a good read.

Mods - sorry about that, feel free to lock and/or delete the thread.

Lawn signs don't work that well in my area. They are usually taken down with the first 12 hours which makes the investment pretty worthless.

Do the right research and they can be up much longer.

I used them for a real estate related venture....one sign in particular stayed up about a year and a half next to a high end hotel. I know of atleast 3 signs that have been up for 3+ years in my area as well.
