So after a few years of being an affiliate, I am going to test being an advertiser.

Spent the last few months putting together an offer that I think has some great potential.

That being said, I have a question for the experts....

If I push an offer to a network, is it always open ended as far as volume goes or can I request a limit. It is going to be a high payout offer (around $30) and I can only payout on so many users in the first round of testing until we start getting some income. If 10,000 leads are produced I will be in a bit over my head.

Just curious how this side of things works.

Thanks in advance

barman - thanks for replying.

I was under the impression that caps like that were by advertiser just to ensure quality, was hoping to get some input as to doing a network wide cap as well.

Just tring to tread carefully into this.

they can just make the offer private and cap it, so you can keep the volume low at first

You can asbolutely cap it. Matter of fact, you can look at the the quality of an affiliate going to promote the offer (although most networks wont go to these lengths). We as networks are greedy but not all are created equal in this retrospect. You can and should monitor the quality of publishers that are going to be handling the promotion of your offer ESPECIALLY in the early phases of testing.

I'm an Affiliate, Network Owner and Advertiser. I've been in the exact same situation and I have always tried to keep each offer seperate so that it takes a testing phase to build the capital instead of dumping capital I already have from somewhere else.

As far as you asking which networks to recommend, there are so many out there you will probably get responses from many of everyones favorite. Since I am responding to this post I dont expect nor would I allow your offer on my own network because I am trying to give you ideas without being promotional.

Look at your offer really closely. What type of traffic types you want?

A lot of networks excel in mailers, whereas as some are stronger in search publishers. Some networks have there own internal mailing lists, some networks will publish your offer on Co-reg paths.

Where do you think your offer would excel and to what traffic type?

Answer that and you will probably get some more specific ideas.

Ruck, Thanks for all the info!!

The offer, for lack of a better category, is going to be biz opp. I am not sure what type of traffic converts best for this yet, as we are just getting started in our testing.

Do you have a place in your network for this offer type?

I cant do that Dave. By responding to the post I make my network ineligible and I wont self-promote. That being said you should try contacting Smaxor from this forum as he owns Ads4Dough and inquire about his Bizopp publishers. Hell, he may even have his own in-house plan on the offer if it strikes him right. Also contact Beejeebers from here as well as he is an owner of Wotogepa.

Your not going to go wrong by speaking with both of these guys. They are respected and trusted members of this forum and they wont bullshit you. If they cant be of any service they will flat out tell you and not waste either of your time. They also have contacts who could also help you.

Outside of this forum if you want some personal recommendations then check out Market Leverage. They have a large Bizopp Market and really where they excel in. You can also visit ROI Rocket and tell Zac I sent you. He is yet another top notch guy that will steer some good info your way.

I dont really want to steer you to the huge networks as you have stated you are in the testing phase. All 4 of these networks and their owners and/or personel are going to be great help. I mention Smaxor and Beejeebers personally because they both seem to be like me in a way. Affiliates, now network owners, they are not going to mess with ya just to get you on their networks. They really care and that's a long lost trait in this industry and it's guys like that who are going to make this industry live on and really help aspiring publishers/advertisers.
