They're now going to be known as "Skrill".

You know that Moneybookers has never been a company to stand still, always evolving our solutions to better meet your needs and expectations.

Our next evolution is to rebrand as Skrill, the first step towards offering you massively enhanced payment facilities to attract and convert even more customers. Skrill is going to better represent what we are and what we will become, as well as differentiate ourselves in a crowded marketplace.

Skrill was an informal term for money. But we - and you - are going to make it more than that. In the same way you 'google' something or 'skype' your friends, people will soon 'Skrill' money.

Skrill means a safe and innovative way for consumers to pay for their online goods. Skrill means choice. Skrill means flexibility. Skrill means reliability and peace of mind. Skrill makes you online safe.

So what happens next?

For now, it won't affect you at all. You can see the initial website at www.skrill.com and an introduction has been added to www.moneybookers.com.

You will not need to make any technical changes at the minute and your key contacts at Moneybookers will remain the same. At some point within the next nine to twelve months, we’ll be asking you to update gateways with a new logo but we will be sure to contact you with lots of notice and to make this as straightforward as possible. If you'd like to be first in line to receive these, get in touch with your account manager, or merchant services.

Skrill will be better for you and your customers, offering payment options with more choice, greater flexibility and peace of mind.

We’d like to thank all our merchant partners who helped inform our new choice of name. Their input was both invaluable and appreciated, helping positively evaluate the name Skrill in a commercial context.

I sent 4k through money bookers once they thought I was online gambling and the bank suspended my card lol

I don't approve of the name change.

Sounds bad. Whats wrong with brandname moneybookers (which is worth a lot already).
