I ran across an article today by Michael T. Winter that summed up the entire problem with the modern world, and it did so very succinctly.

All of the individual parts of this concept have been discussed here on this board before, time and time again. But the overall concept of the 'Merika whose entire policy is dictated by the protection of the Petrodollar is very well laid out in this article. If you are someone who has seen it all before, skip down to the halfway point of this post... But the rest of you need to know all of the following shit. It's too important.

First, here's the article... You'd better sit down for this:

Petrodollar pumping US policy on Iran, backfire looms — RT

History lesson from the Article above said:
In 1973, Richard Nixon promised King Faisal of Saudi Arabia that the US would protect Saudi Arabian oilfields from any and all interested parties seeking to forcefully wrest them from the House of Saud. It’s important to remember that in 1973, Saudi Arabia didn’t have a fraction of the military and ground forces it possesses today (almost exclusively US manufactured weapons) and the USSR was very much a threat.

In return Saudi Arabia, and by extension OPEC, agreed to sell their oil in US dollars only. As if that weren’t sweet enough, as part of the deal, they were required to invest their profits in US treasuries, bonds and bills. The real zinger is that all countries purchasing oil from OPEC had to do so in US dollars, or ‘petrodollars’.

This strengthened the US dollar, resulting in a steady US economic growth cycle throughout the 80’s and 90’s. Countries purchasing OPEC oil started buying US treasury bills, bonds and securities to ensure they could continue purchasing OPEC oil.

It goes on to show that the following people, at minimum, were neutralized in defense of the Petrodollar... They each attempted a competition with it:

* Saddam Hussein
* Muammar Gaddafi
* Dominique Strauss-Kahn (The fake sex scandal, not a murder of course)
(I might add Julian Assange to this list.)

Next up: Iran. The article talks at great length about how and when and why. Iran is actually starting to succeed now, trading Gold directly for oil with China and others... That's exactly why we're about to go to war. Time is of the essence.

So who is involved in this protection? Just the president you ask?

Sadly, there are far more involved in this need to protect the petrodollar than just some Oil execs or even Ben Bernake. If you want to call this a "conspiracy," (I don't, I call this business as usual) then it is a conspiracy of hundreds; It would have to include many dozens of government officials here from the POTUS and his staff to the DOE staff to the foreign staff in oil-rich nations, to our allies in those nations, and even to the corporate execs at all of the major oil firms.

Literally hundreds of people aware of this protectionism and working toward protecting it at any cost. (With huge resources at their disposal to do so.)

So what else does the petrodollar stand in the way of, exactly?

* Ron Paul, or any Libertarian in high office. -The Constitution would stop their game cold if allowed to be effective.

* ALL FORMS OF GREEN ENERGY. Solar, wind, hydro, fuel cells, LENR, you name it; it is being held WAY back so that oil still reigns supreme. None of these get even 5% of the subsidies that Oil does. This is likely why GE Really killed the electric car.

* Large-scale lithium battery production. Why is it that battery companies can crank out infinite lithium AA, camera, and laptop batteries yet when car maker attempt to put them into cars they tell us they are too expensive to be practical?

* ALL NON-Petro-based plastics and materials. Did you know that algae and mosses both make a far superior, cheaper, healthier form of plastic than Oil does? There is no reason this should be held back for years now, but it has been.

* Acknowledgement of Global Warming. Every year a few more FACTS slip through that show very well that AGW exists. Climate Scientists do NOT dispute it between themselves, they know the Earth is getting hotter pretty fast. Sadly, FAR more propaganda is published every year that says those kooky scientists are making all that hogwash up to get funding... Allowing the oil to flow freely.

* Full protection from BPA. BPA, or bisphenol A, naturally occurrs in all petro-based plastic, and it's costly to get this poison out, but people have been suffering various effects like retardation, cancer and even death from BPA since the 1970s. Other countries have banned BEP-laden plastics wholly but not here; we use too much of it. WalMart is voluntarily banning it now, but the USGov still doesn't care.

I could go on and on... But the point is this giant problem is doing far more than killing our soldiers around the world; it is killing & retarding our babies with BPA, keeping us all living with growing smog & pollution, keeping us using shitty little batteries, making the damn planet hotter, and oh yeah, keeping us from being free and having an honest government.

Yes, laws like the NDAA need to be passed mainly in order to control us from fighting the petrodollar. :glowingeyes_sml:

Without a doubt, this is the biggest issue of our times; 'Murika is the Hitler of the 21st century. (Actually far worse by body count alone.)

How much longer can this last? How can it be stopped?

What happens to the economy/government/environment when it finally falls?

Cool stuff. Was half expecting a 5 minute version of Century of Self (jk)
Century of the Self shows us exactly how we were made into the commercialistic sheeple we are today to accept this horrid world.

The Military Industrial Complex are the ones who forced the weapons & war into all of this. Wars WERE going to happen... Somehow.

But it took the petrodollar to give the USA a motive and reason to do these evil things.

Where's your tie in to Rothschild/Morgan/Chase (it's there, all money flows from the same well)?

And why the fuck can't we get a good conspiracy thread about The Titanic taking out all FED competition (guggenheim/strauss/astor)? You guys make me go dig for the good shit.

The banks are obviously profiting from the petrodollar too; The FED being the main driver here... But I can only speculate how much so I thought I'd leave that fuzziness out.

And why the fuck can't we get a good conspiracy thread about The Titanic taking out all FED competition (guggenheim/strauss/astor)? You guys make me go dig for the good shit.
Dude, that shit is 100 years old this year... No longer very relevant!

I'm talking about the really evil shit that topples multiple governments, makes your children retarded, keeps your political choices out of reach, gives your ballsack some cancer, sends your kids off to wars and is going on right now FFS!

Both Sadam and Ghadafi were taken out when they started fucking around with the idea that oil shouldn't be traded in USD. Coincidence? Probably not...

This is a major conspiracy theory of mine too, i can fit over 1 million songs on my iphone using a lithium battery yet why cant i use that power on my car? Is it because it is non-user-replaceable? I would add steve jobs to that list of 100 petrodollar schemers

Why is it that all these technologies suppressed in the US aren't being pursued anywhere in the rest of the world?

The world will probably transform when nuclear fusion is controlled and pushed everywhere

1. Create affordable lithium based car
2. ???
3. Profit from shelved buyout.

I'd ask him but he died of cancer just last... HEY WAIT A MINUTE!

(j/k)

Seriously, it's quite obvious that you can stack a bunch of lion batteries together to make a car-sized battery as any EV Car hobbiest will tell you. So how in the FUCK have car makers dragged their feet for a decade now with this excuse??!?

Why is it that all these technologies suppressed in the US aren't being pursued anywhere in the rest of the world?
Good question; I'm going to have to guess that it is a combination of two reasons:

1. We're the fat, profitable pig to sell things to, so most manufacturers of ANYTHING would want to hit this market first... Thereby reducing the amount of times it happens drastically.

2. They probably try elsewhere and find that their applications mysteriously rejected for thinly-veiled reasons that don't fully explain anything. Meanwhile it is clear behind the counter that Uncle Sam said "No way Jose" on that whole avenue of research.

Also, don't forget that Andre Rossi successfully got a patent in Italy for his ECAT generator but the same application was turned down for "conflicting the laws of physics" in the US. <Rant>OMFG If the Directory of Nasa Langley says LENR is real and it is not cold fusion, clearly, it doesn't break the laws of physics!</RANT>

Anyway, since Italy granted it, perhaps we just aren't noticing the few that do get released even when the US won't?

Instead of spamming viagra people need to start spamming truth.
You damn skippy, stickyicky. ;)

Take the Paul campaign. RP followers are getting the word out in exactly this way. They spread the youtube vids, vote up stories in Digg/Reddit, participate in every social medium online, etc... They really got the word out by spamming every conceivable online avenue.

The same can be done here, it just needs to get that initial momentum.

As far as I know the only few people willing to talk about it more than I have here are all scared shitless of saying too much without succumbing to our new NDAA clause. :uhoh2:

But if it were truly grassroot, and became common and oft-memed, then it would have a chance of sticking in there like Paul's campaign is... Or maybe more since there is no other theory "running against" it.

The world will probably transform when nuclear fusion is controlled and pushed everywhere
Fusion? Lawl... LENR made that obsolete. No danger required. Dennis Bushnell, the Director of NASA Langley research went on record saying that his tests show that LENR performs better than the traditional Nuclear Fission power source for rockets, and that it's the perfect power source for every application they can dream of at NASA.

...Talk about a problem for the Petrodollar! It will be all too telling how this one plays out.

The very best thing about conspiracy theories is that the theorist can cherry pick any and all events from the past and stick them together with very little or no factual ties.

So a seasoned conspiracy theorist could, if it got into his/her head, attribute the Berlin Wall falling to the rise of MTV. The two events happened in the same decade with almost nothing to tie them together but MTV did broadcast the event and there were lots of teenagers there...OMG...and David Hasslehoff was all over German MTV at the time...OMG! See the connection?

Now, I don't want to discount the whole "evil behind the curtain" thing (because those fuckers are evil...I'll give you that), but to tie up the major world events and general fuckuppery of the last 40 years and compartmentalize it into one neat little package is naive, at best and all-around retarded at worst.

Humans, by nature, like to rationalize things that way, though. We need a scapegoat..an easy answer. It's how we're wired. Unfortunately, that's not how this or really any long series of events happened.

Oh, and one more thing:

* Acknowledgement of Global Warming. Every year a few more FACTS slip through that show very well that AGW exists. Climate Scientists do NOT dispute it between themselves

The part in orange is not true.

Ya know this conspiracy theory isn't as far fetched as it sounds. The FIRST electric car was build around 95. By GM. Worked smoothly. It was scrapped that same year why? IDK. oil lobbyists? If GM continuted in 95 we would have a majority of electric cars here in the us today like as in the MAJORITY.

The very best thing about conspiracy theories is that the theorist can cherry pick any and all events from the past and stick them together with very little or no factual ties.
When a bunch of seemingly random shit goes down that doesn't make sense, and then years later multiple people have formed independent hypothesises which draw it all together to make very clear sense, well, no that's not proof, you're right about that much.

But it's pretty damn good, and not to mention, it's the best hypothesis we've got. Without it, we're just as blind as before and we don't even have a starting place!

...to tie up the major world events and general fuckuppery of the last 40 years and compartmentalize it into one neat little package is naive, at best and all-around retarded at worst.
What's retarded is believing the lies that MSM in this country tells us.

...Like Lee Harvey Oswald being the only shooter of JFK.

...Like WTC 7 going down all by its' lonesome.

...Like there are WMDs in Iraq.

...Like Gaddafi was an evil tyrant who's own people killed him, despite personally giving his people one of the highest standards of living in all of human history.

...Like Dr. Paul didn't win a single county in South Carolina despite so many large Military bases there!

...Or like how our war on terror keeps us safer!

A smart person learns to see around the lies, because they are so often and obvious here.

Humans, by nature, like to rationalize things that way, though. We need a scapegoat..an easy answer. It's how we're wired. Unfortunately, that's not how this or really any long series of events happened.
If I had taken the time to write a 50k word dissertation on how each of these events led up into the whole sequence and the smaller episodes between, would you have taken the time to read it?

I grant you that there is more to the 40-year story arc than these few points in time mentioned, I have no doubt of it... But together these events and the new explanations connecting them make a solid, sturdy, TESTABLE hypothesis that more and more people every day are starting to feel makes sense for the first time since this all started.

I say it's testable because the motive behind it all will need to do obvious things in the future to keep from losing their grip... A war on Iran is the most obvious one; but as other threats to the petrodollar arise we should see them equally squashed down and LENR is unfortunately among that group.

The part in orange is not true.
So you know this because you are, or at least hang out with, a genuine climatologist I take it?

Did you even read my next sentence? The small amount of truth is being flooded out with propaganda from the opposing side(s). That includes filling up places like the best Journals with crap findings that shed doubt on the good findings.

Talk to some climatologists and you'll see that they have NO doubt whatsoever that the earth is heating up rapidly, and very little doubt that it is human-caused, carbon-based heating. There may be a few genuine holdouts on the human-caused part, but the majority of the climatologists worldwide regard those few as "kooks."

Here you go, found the guide... Check out this short PDF that pretty much proves the point. Glad you mentioned Cherry Picking! You won't regret the few minutes you spend on this.

I'm not here to argue with you and it should be evident from my post that I'm not:

Now, I don't want to discount the whole "evil behind the curtain" thing (because those fuckers are evil...I'll give you that)

so I'm not going to get into some huge back and forth with you. Believe what you want. I love conspiracy theories as much as the next guy but I think it's important to point out that conspiracy theorists have a lot to gain by building a following, whether it's

1) Monetary (Alex Jones isn't struggling to pay the rent, that's for sure)

2) Ego (Don't discount the importance of a following to a "prophet")

Basically what I'm saying is to take this stuff with a grain of salt.

...Like Dr. Paul didn't win a single county in South Carolina despite so many large Military bases there!

I live in SC and have lived here most of my life. I'm also a Ron Paul supporter. Most people here either consume mass and local media as their sole source of news or don't pay attention at all, so yes I do believe Dr. Paul didn't win a single county.

Besides, there aren't THAT many bases here and only a couple of large ones - especially since Charleston Naval Base all-but shut down close to 20 years ago.

In fact, there's only 3 "large" military installations here: Ft. Jackson in Columbia, Parris Island in Beaufort, and Shaw AFB in Sumter. McEntire ANG is right up the road from Shaw and only a few more miles from Ft. Jackson and land-wise it's pretty large but personnel-wise it's really small. The Navy Weapons Station in Charleston is tiny now. Only a few hundred people work there day-to-day and that's mostly civilian.

So you know this because you are, or at least hang out with, a genuine climatologist I take it?

Several, actually. I, myself, was a clinical research coordinator (albeit pharmaceutical-focused) for the better part of a decade before going into IM full-time a few years ago.

I know several people that are closely involved in geological and meteorological research (both for academia and private industry) right here where I live. In fact, I play golf with two that are in associated fields quite regularly.

If you want a good conspiracy theory, you should probably look into the myth that so-called "climate change" has been *ahem* "proven" to be man-made.

Lots of money in "green technology" being subsidized these days too.

As you said, follow the money...follow the money.

We agree on more than my previous post suggests. I just wanted to interject that you should be skeptical of everyone that has a voice in the matter...including the so-called dissenters. They have plenty to gain from this as well.

Can't argue with that; Seems too damn profitable.

In my case though I don't listen to the speaker; I just weed through shit for the facts... No matter if I heard it on BBC or RT or TYT, (I actually don't even go to inforwars anymore, too annoying to hear Alex's panties wad up) I always search for the facts and strong evidence that I can peice together to form my own conclusion with.

That's why the RT peice in the OP surprised me... I had already come to pretty much exactly the same conclusion prior, yet I've never seen all of those points in one piece before. It's like he and I independently came up with the exact same answers on an exam.

...there aren't THAT many bases here and only a couple of large ones - especially since Charleston Naval Base all-but shut down close to 20 years ago.
LOL! I didn't know that... My brother was stationed there back during desert sheild/storm... I thought Charleston was still our biggest East coast base. ;)

Oh well, scrap that part of it then. I'll back off on this point despite all of the evidence that polls can be and are easily controlled nowadays.

I know several people that are closely involved in geological and meteorological research (both for academia and private industry) right here where I live. In fact, I play golf with two that are in associated fields quite regularly.
So no Climatologists then. It's not as related to meteorology as most people assume. Far more emphasis on ice core samples, glacier retreat rates, and other terrestrial evidence like the gas release ratio of peat mosses from peru v/s india... Weird shit like that.

If you want a good conspiracy theory, you should probably look into the myth that so-called "climate change" has been *ahem* "proven" to be man-made.
Oh I've heard all about the Cap and trade marketplace that Obama and Al Gore have put together for us... Make no mistake, I totally agree there are a lot of crooks on both side of the issue... But the real footsoldiers announcing AGW are just fucking unheard. Totally unheard to date... No matter how loud they shout out the results, someone with an agenda is standing nearby shouting louder in the other direction.

On AGW, you REALLY have to look at the evidence from the best schools and make up your mind for yourself. That PDF I linked you to above can give you a great start on that process.
